PRESS RELEASE – The International Monetary Fund (IMF) in partnership with the Government of Trinidad and Tobago will on Wednesday November 2nd hold a high level Caribbean Forum in Port of Spain.


The one-day conference will be held under the theme “Shifting Tides: Challenges and Opportunities” and will focus on unique issues affecting the Caribbean. Prime Minister Honourable Allen M. Chastanet will participate in three sessions at the conference, namely, a forum on Global and Regional Challenges, Spillovers from Cuba, and Policies to Address Derisking.

In the Prime Minister’s absence, Honourable Dr. Gale T. C. Rigobert, Minister for Education, Innovation, Gender Relations and Sustainable Development, will serve as Acting Prime Minister.

  1. Saint Lucians are so-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-oo dumb? The current PM has a much greater chance and opportunity to make the necessary changes.

    At least he has a more fitting education than one joker who never ever understood mathematics and even much less, economics.
