Taylor Hawkins Career
Taylor began his career at a very young age as a school friend of Dave Grohl. He played drums on the first Foo Fighters demos and later joined them as their full-time drummer. Taylor then relocated from Virginia to Seattle with Dave and played drums on most of Nirvanas’s In Utero album.
When Kurt Cobain died in 1994, Taylor stepped up to the microphone to sing lead vocals and rhythm guitar. Following this, he went on tour with Queens of the Stone Age before joining another band called Taylor and The Coattail Riders.
The band was short-lived but they released an EP that led him back into contact with Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme who asked him to drum for Them Crooked Vultures which also featured John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) and Dave Grohl.
